What mostly connected partners was the final, collaborative story, following the observation of the metamorphosis cycle of a butterfly.
The CLIL( Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach facilitated the transcurricular and multidisciplinary dimension, using the English language to expand the lexicon and structures connected to the description of plants, or the metamorphosis of butterflies, to define scientific concepts, to elaborate mottos integrating them with artistic productions.
Children and families( through their kids) were able to enjoy an unforgettable experience thanks to the cocoons that Luisa sourced and sent to the partners. Pupils observed and documented the changes occurred from the cocoon to the butterfly and created a collaborative story, where butterfly Vanessa started flying from the amazing AULA NATURA( a special green corner of the school garden) of San Biagio Primary school in Codogno to other neighbour partner schools in Casalpusterlengo and Casalmaiocco, then reaching Sweden and Greece, to come back to Italy, ending its journey in Piacenza, at Don Minzoni school, and then back to the starting point, to complete the Friendship Bridge.
An amazing, ideal bridge where Vanessa discovered the wonders of natural environments and the great actions made by students, joining the partners in their shared mission to take care of the planet.
