Participation in the“ Code Week Every Week, Code Week for Future” project also had a positive impact on the institution. The kindergarten strengthened its experience in implementing European projects and diversified its educational offer by introducing modern activities based on computational thinking. Teachers improved their digital and methodological competences, gained new educational resources, and benefited from continuous exchanges with teachers from other countries. The project increased the institution’ s visibility within the eTwinning community and contributed to promoting a modern, innovative image oriented towards future education.
The project demonstrated that coding activities should not be limited to European Code Week but can become an integrated teaching method in daily kindergarten practice. The experience confirms that education for computational thinking can start at a very young age through accessible, engaging, and interdisciplinary activities. Coding develops essential future skills – logical thinking, creativity, collaboration, perseverance, and problem-solving – in a natural and enjoyable way.
At the same time, the project highlighted the importance of collaboration between children, parents, teachers, and European partners, demonstrating that learning becomes more valuable when it is built together. Through the involvement of all educational actors, every day can become
an opportunity for exploration, discovery, and coding-based learning, preparing children for the challenges of a continuously changing society.
Nicoletta Huștiuc is an experienced teacher, with 27 years of experience, educator actively engaged in international educational initiatives and collaborative teaching projects. She serves as an eTwinning, Erasmus +, and Scientix Ambassador, and is also a Code Week Leading Teacher for Romania. With a strong interest in project-based learning, she consistently promotes innovative and interdisciplinary approaches in education.
