GeoGebra software represents a highly effective tool for fostering essential skills for life, which inspired us to carry out the project“ G @ ME – GeoGebra in Amazing Mathematical Experiences”. Written for this 16th issue of the eTwinning visibility newsletter, this article highlights the project ' s key activities and achievements.
The“ G @ ME – GeoGebra in Amazing Mathematical Experiences” project aimed to develop students ' mathematical and digital skills through interactive and creative activities using the GeoGebra software. Students aged 14 to 18 collaborated in international teams to explore geometry, algebra, and mathematical analysis, building dynamic models and connecting mathematics to real-life domains such as art, nature, and technology. of transversal skills – such as critical thinking, digital literacy, communication, and teamwork – preparing students to apply mathematical knowledge in real-life situations.
Furthermore, the project marked international events such as Code Week, Fibonacci Day, Pi Day, and eTwinning Day, encouraging intercultural exchange and European citizenship.
We highlight below some of the activities carried out”. The Real Function Lab activity aimed to study functions and their real-world properties. Students identified phenomena, objects, and situations involving polynomial, rational, irrational, exponential, logarithmic, or trigonometric functions.
Throughout the school year, participants created digital resources( GeoGebra Books, worksheets, interactive models) that foster problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. By integrating ICT tools, the project employed modern teaching methods and promoted active learning.
