The eTwinning project“ Plus d’ actions, moins de gaspillage” in French brought together students and teachers from France, Italy, Spain, Romania, Estonia, and Greece to raise awareness of environmental protection and encourage more sustainable lifestyles. Throughout the project, students explored practical ways to reduce waste by investigating recycling initiatives, second-hand shops, upcycling practices, and local environmental actions in their own communities. communication, and supporting students in the use of collaborative digital tools. Students worked individually, in national groups, and in international teams to complete a wide variety of tasks. They brainstormed ideas, created quizzes and awareness campaigns, designed collaborative posters on environmental themes of their choice, and jointly developed an eco-habits survey by writing questions that were answered by all participants. They also researched secondhand shops, repair cafés, charities, and other organisations promoting reuse and waste reduction in their local areas, allowing them to compare environmental practices across Europe and realise that sustainability is a shared challenge.
They began by introducing themselves through creative presentations, designed and voted for the project logo, learned about netiquette and responsible online behaviour, and gradually built a genuine European learning community.
