Through real-world case studies, they regained their independent thinking skills by developing the ability to question digital information rather than accepting it blindly. Simultaneously, they enhanced both their English language proficiency and intercultural communication skills by working in international mixed teams.
During this learning journey, students produced tangible outputs such as a central project hub( TwinSpace) showcasing all infographics and manifestos, a 3D virtual gallery( Artsteps), a Digital Ethics Agreement to serve as a school guide, and podcast series tailored for younger peer groups. The impact of the project extended beyond school walls, evolving into an annual " Digital Kindness Day " tradition, new ethical discussion methods integrated into curricula, and digital citizenship surveys to monitor student progress. Ultimately, we left a lasting legacy by fostering proactive, ethically responsible individuals capable of managing technology through human values.
Alina Fevga is an English teacher at Lazăr Edeleanu Technological High School in Năvodari, Romania, where she has been inspiring students for the past 20 years. Passionate about innovative education and international collaboration, she has actively participated in eTwinning projects, earning both National and European Quality Labels since 2024. In January 2026, she was awarded the Second National Prize in the 16 – 19 age category for the eTwinning project“ Youth Empowered by Democracy”, in which she was a project team member. Through her work, she promotes active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and meaningful learning experiences that empower students to become engaged and responsible European citizens.
Alina Mirela Popa works at Liceul Tehnologic de Industrie Alimentară G. E. Palade Satu Mare, Romania. She isa technology teacher and an eTwinning Ambassador since 2019. She coordinated the eTwinning School Titles in 2019, 2021 and 2023 and continued promoting eTwinning. She was nominated at Skills Week- Berlin 2020 for Teacher and Trainer Category. She participated in Transatlantic Educators Dialog TED 2021, 2022 and 2023 initiated by Illinois Urbana Campaign USA and the European Union. She is the winner of European Prize 2021 for“ Climate Volunteers” no. 1, age 16- 19 category and many other eTwinning certificates and awards.
