geometric compositions became visible through creative activities inspired by architecture, traditional decorative elements and works of art. Instead of perceiving mathematics and creativity as separate domains, children experienced them as complementary ways of understanding and representing the world.
Technology completed this interdisciplinary approach by offering opportunities for investigation, communication and collaborative creation. Digital tools were never introduced simply because they were innovative; every application served a clear pedagogical purpose and supported meaningful learning experiences.
Digital technologies supporting authentic learning
Technology played a fundamental role throughout the project, not as an objective in itself but as a powerful educational resource that enhanced collaboration, creativity and active participation.
The project relied on a carefully selected collection of digital platforms, including Genially, Padlet, Canva, Google Workspace, StoryJumper, LearningApps, Wordwall, Kahoot and Quizizz. Each tool was integrated according to specific learning objectives and the developmental characteristics of young learners.
Interactive presentations developed in Genially transformed mathematical concepts into engaging visual experiences. Padlet became a collaborative learning space where pupils documented observations, shared discoveries and reflected upon their learning journey. LearningApps, Wordwall and Kahoot provided opportunities for formative assessment through educational games that maintained children ' s motivation while reinforcing mathematical understanding.
One of the project ' s most valuable collaborative products was the StoryJumper digital book, where partner schools created a shared mathematical story. Instead of producing isolated classroom activities, children worked together to build a common narrative that combined mathematical thinking, creativity and intercultural communication.
