Each learning experience was carefully designed to encourage children to investigate authentic situations, identify relationships, test ideas and reflect on their discoveries. Mathematics became the common language that connected different disciplines, allowing pupils to understand that knowledge is interdisciplinary by nature.
Science activities invited children to observe natural phenomena, compare measurements, investigate shapes, identify patterns and collect data from their environment. Whether exploring leaves, flowers, insects or weather conditions, pupils realised that mathematical concepts are deeply embedded in nature. Measuring, classifying, estimating and interpreting data became natural parts of scientific investigation.
STEAM as a framework for meaningful learning One of the most distinctive features of Living Math Explorers was the integration of mathematics within a broader STEAM( Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) framework.
