Rather than addressing women ' s rights through traditional lesson-based instruction, the initiative immersed students in project-based learning, where they assumed active roles as researchers, content creators, collaborators, and advocates for women’ s rights. Throughout the academic year, participants worked in mixed international teams, communicating in English while jointly producing multimedia outputs that reflected both historical understanding and contemporary perspectives on gender equality.

The project subsequently moved from interpretation to creative production through an international film reenactment activity. Each multinational team selected different scenes from Suffragette and recreated them using their own artistic vision. This task extended far beyond theatrical performance. Students collaboratively negotiated scene selection, interpreted character motivations, distributed production roles, rehearsed performances, and documented the entire creative process. Therefore, the pedagogical focus was not limited to the final product but also encompassed teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving.
