The project also adopted principles of performance-based assessment. Instead of relying exclusively on traditional evaluation methods, students demonstrated their learning through presentations, digital products, awareness campaigns, reflective reports, multimedia productions, debates, articles, and public dissemination activities. Reflection was embedded throughout the implementation process, encouraging learners to evaluate both the quality of their products and the effectiveness of their collaboration, communication, and problem-solving strategies. Peer feedback and selfassessment further supported continuous improvement and critical reflection.
Finally, dissemination was considered an integral component of the pedagogical design, not merely a concluding stage. Students regularly presented their work to peers, teachers, parents, and the wider community, reinforcing the social dimension of learning and strengthening their ability to communicate ideas effectively to real audiences. This emphasis on visibility, collaboration, and public engagement contributed to a learning environment in which knowledge was continuously shared, discussed, applied, and refined.
Project implementation
A multidisciplinary perspective ensured close alignment with the Republic of Moldova ' s curriculum by integrating English language learning with civic education, history, media education, information and communication technologies, and personal development. This approach enabled students to transfer knowledge and skills across subject boundaries while exploring complex social issues from multiple viewpoints.
The combination of historical inquiry, media analysis, intercultural dialogue, and creative expression transformed abstract concepts such as equality, gender discrimination, and justice into purposeful learning experiences connected to students ' own realities.
