Digital & 21st-century skills in action Through the Scoopstainable eTwinning project, students moved from experimenting with AI tools and Canva designs to producing podcasts and running newsroom simulations, and in doing so strengthened a broad set of interconnected skills. Working in teams sharpened their communication and collaboration, while hands-on use of digital platforms deepened their media awareness and digital literacy. Producing content for real audiences pushed them to think critically and verify facts before publishing, building habits of responsible, evidence-based reporting. The creative demands of design and storytelling fostered problem-solving and innovation, and collaborating with peers across different countries broadened their intercultural understanding. European cross-border newsroom – a highlight activity The heart of the project beat to the rhythm of an international newsroom. As part of the European cross-border newsroom initiative, students from Cuza College collaborated directly with peers from partner schools across Europe. Divided into mixed teams, they operated like professional journalists: researching sustainability topics, conducting
