Communication and collaboration became authentic experiences rather than isolated classroom skills.
Finally, in the Producing phase, students became creators instead of consumers. They co-authored an international e-book, designed AI-powered avatars promoting online safety, created awareness campaigns, produced infographics and digital content, and interacted with educational chatbots. These public artefacts allowed students to become authors of digital citizenship resources for their peers, transforming learning into meaningful civic action.
Creativity emerged through the design of AI avatars, multimedia campaigns, collaborative publications, and digital storytelling.) Students combined imagination with technology to create meaningful products that addressed real societal challenges.
Throughout the project, students developed the essential 21st-century skills. Communication flourished through authentic interactions in English, international videoconferences, collaborative writing, and AI-supported discussions. Students learned to express ideas clearly while listening respectfully to diverse perspectives.
Collaboration became the project’ s driving force. Working in multinational teams, learners negotiated ideas, solved problems collectively, and experienced the value of cooperation across cultures.
Critical thinking was continuously nurtured as students analysed online behaviours, questioned AI-generated responses, evaluated digital information, and reflected on the ethical implications of artificial intelligence. Rather than accepting technology uncritically, they learned to interrogate it.
The project also strengthened character by promoting self-regulation, resilience, empathy, responsibility, and ethical decision-making. Students recognised that digital competence is inseparable from respectful behaviour, emotional intelligence, and personal integrity.
Finally, citizenship became the connecting thread of every activity. Students realised that every online action contributes to shaping digital
