digital tools to investigate, create, communicate, reflect and collaborate. In this way, digital competence becomes an authentic outcome of meaningful educational experiences rather than an isolated objective.
STEAM as a bridge between heritage and innovation The STEAM approach represents the educational backbone of the project. Each component contributes to children ' s holistic development while maintaining strong connections with European cultural heritage.
Science activities encourage pupils to observe natural and cultural environments, formulate questions, conduct simple investigations and draw evidence-based conclusions. Curiosity becomes the driving force behind learning, allowing curious, enthusiastic children to discover relationships between historical monuments, natural landscapes and scientific principles.
Technology provides opportunities for collaborative creation and communication through educational platforms including Genially, Padlet, LearningApps, StoryJumper, Google Workspace and other digital resources. These tools enable pupils to create interactive presentations, digital books, collaborative galleries and multimedia products while simultaneously developing digital literacy and responsible online behaviour.
Engineering challenges invite children to construct models inspired by famous European monuments, test different solutions, improve their designs and understand that mistakes are valuable opportunities for learning. Through these activities, engineering becomes an accessible and enjoyable experience even for very young learners.
