Second, they recalled past personal experiences where they were the ones in the situation and their partners were left wondering. And they could reminded themselves that this was their chosen lifestyle and they did not want to give it up themselves. Love and sex are not tied together in this lifestyle.
I observed a sexual maturity in these people, a relaxed acceptance about relationships and a refreshing honesty that had been missing in my monogamous dating and relationships.
Before you abandon SL relationships, I strongly suggest you spend time in these communities where you can participate first as an observer and then in an open relationship with someone who has experience and well developed communication skills. Perhaps find a mentor of your same sex that you can ask questions and go to when you become emotionally overwhelmed. Start slow where there is little emotional connection to begin and an abundance of communication. And have fun.
