Personal highlight : I think being in contention in all four VSGA Senior majors this year . Winning the Senior Stroke Play and the Senior Four-Ball ( with Jon Hurst ). Then being medalist in the VSGA Senior Amateur qualifying but losing to Matt Sughrue in the semifinals . Then tying Brendan McGrath , PGA , in the Senior Open of Virginia , but losing on the second playoff hole .
Golf goals for 2024 : Repeat , repeat , repeat ! The reason we all play tournament golf is to get that feeling of having a chance to win on the last day . I was fortunate to have that chance several times last year . Next year my goal is to give myself a few opportunities to win .
Best club in your bag : This last year I would have to say it was my wedges . Playing senior events , I felt like if I could get a wedge in my hand , I would have a very good chance to make a birdie or get the ball up and down if I needed to .
Must play course you haven ’ t played and / or a “ dream ” destination golf trip ? I have been fortunate to play a lot of really good courses . I have never had the opportunity to play Pine Valley . I would really enjoy the opportunity to play there while I am still competitive .
What is a fun fact no one knows about you ? When it is not tournament season I attend New Covenant Fellowship church with my wife , Carrie , and daughter , Bo . Although religion is not mentioned on the golf course , I take it with me .

• Only senior on VA / WV team to get all 3 available points in the Captain ’ s Putter Matches
• David King Senior Invitational Champion
• No . 1 in VSGA Senior Player Rankings
