Stonewall Resort ( Roanoke ) Part of Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park on 1,900 acres , Stonewall ’ s Arnold Palmer Signature Course was designed by Palmer and Ed Seay and opened in 2002 . Tight fairways weave through woodlands and valleys , over wetlands , and across rolling terrain on this par- 72 , 7,149-yard bent-grass design . This course is consistently ranked among the top 100 public courses in America and is home to the University of West Virginia ’ s golf team . Six teeing areas are available .
