Heathland is a par-71 Tom Doak design with holes reminiscent of familiar British Isles links courses with deep greenside bunkers and thick rough . The Heritage Club is a par-71 Dan Maples design featuring what has been called the “ most undulating , fun-to-putt greens on the Grand Strand .” Moorland is a par-72 P . B . Pine Lakes Country Club ( Myrtle Beach ) – Opened in 1926 as the first course in Myrtle Beach , this semi-private Robert White design is called “ The Granddaddy ” and offers views of the oceanfront skyline . Extensive renovations of greens and bunkers were completed in 2021 . The course measures up to 6,675 yards , offers four sets of tees and plays as a par-70 with water hazards on 16 holes .
Prestwick Country Club ( Myrtle Beach ) – Located near the airport , this par-72 course is a collaboration of Pete Dye and son P . B . Dye , who used dramatic mounding , signature wooden bulkheads and deep-faced bunkering in its design . Known for its fast greens , the course measures just under 7,100 yards and offers six sets of tees .
Tidewater Golf Club ( North Myrtle Beach ) – Named “ Best New Public Course in America ” by both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest . Built with nine holes alongside the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and Cherry Grove Inlet , this par-72 Ken Tomlinson design combines the natural beauty of saltwater marshes with a challenging demand for careful shot selection . TPC Myrtle Beach ( Murrells Inlet ) – Designed by Tom Fazio and Lanny Wadkins in 1999 , this par-72 , 6,950-yard tract hosted the 2000 Senior Tour Championship and was the 2019 South Carolina Golf Course of the Year . Abundant water hazards and a demanding strategic design have made this a Golf Digest fivestar-rated course .
True Blue Golf Club ( Pawleys Island ) – Sister course of Caledonia Golf & Fish Club , this award-winning Mike Strantz design features large fairways measuring 60-90 yards wide on sandy terrain that was once an indigo plantation . The popular par-72 course offers five sets of tees , measuring 7,126 from the tips .
