2020 VSGA Championship & Events Schedule
Features the deepest field of any Tour event. For
the second straight year, the event will wrap up on
Selection Sunday for the NCAA Men’s Basketball
Championship, a nice little one-two punch for
sports fans.
March 19-22: Valspar Championship | Innisbrook Resort
(Copperhead) | Palm Harbor, Fla. | Paul Casey
Casey became the event’s first back-to-back
winner in 2019. The last person to three-peat at a
single event was Steve Stricker at the John Deere
Classic from 2009-11.
*-March 26-29: Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Champion-
ship | Corales GC | Punta Cana, D.R. | Graeme McDowell
March 26-29: WGC Dell Technologies Match Play | Austin CC
| Austin, Texas | Kevin Kisner
Outside of international competition, it’s rare to
see the pros tee it up in match play, which makes
this event stand out.
April 2-5: Valero Texas Open | TPC San Antonio | San Antonio,
Texas | Corey Conners
April 9-12: Masters | Augusta National GC | Augusta, Ga. |
Tiger Woods
Not like the Masters isn’t already appointment
viewing to begin with. But Tiger going for major
No. 16? We’ll be glued to the screen.

S.C. | C.T. Pan
April 23-26: Zurich Classic of New Orleans | TPC Louisiana |

May 14-17: PGA Championship | Harding Park | San Francisco

Majors ending in primetime on the East Coast
are the best. Harding Park, a muni in southwest
San Francisco, is set to host the Presidents Cup
in 2025.
The Open returns to Winged Foot for the first time
since 2006, when Geoff Ogilvy won in part due to
Phil Mickelson’s misadventures on 18. Take note:
Scores likely won’t be low. The winner has finished
over par in four of the five Opens here. The excep-
tion was Fuzzy Zoeller, who shot 4 under and won
in a playoff in 1984.

emotional victory in 2011.

Rory McIlroy
Under the new scoring format, McIlroy started the Tour
Championship five shots behind Thomas but ended
up five strokes ahead to win the FedEx Cup. It may be
wonky, but it’s easy to follow, something that could not be
said about the old system.
