Historic Leyburn Sprints Vintage
Caravan Show was, as always, a
great weekend away. In amongst
the hustle and bustle of the revving
of race cars, a veritable swarm of drivers, crew and
spectators that fills the otherwise quiet, small country
town, all of us vintage vanners had a lovely relaxing
time in our grassed off area down behind the back of
the pub.
As usual, there was plenty of entertainment on offer
including the well-attended show ‘n’ shine car show, live
music, good food and joviality at the Royal Hotel Pub
and, of course, lots and lots of racing as cars from all eras
dodge giant hay bales and tyres barriers in a circuit that
takes them all around the residential streets of Leyburn.
