This year saw the vintage caravanners making
an extra special effort in their displays with many of
the thirty entrants vying for the coveted prize of Best
Vintage Caravan Display with trophies and cash prizes
on offer. Other categories were Best Quirky Caravan and
Best Car & Caravan Combination. There was also a prize
for the best-dressed caravan owners as judged by the
public and it was great to see so many really getting
into the spirit of things. Julie and Chris Lindsay were
hilarious as the Indian chief and his squaw complete
with full-feathered headdresses and a baby doll in a
papoose. Paul Connelly looked particularly dapper in
his 1900s styled gentleman’s three-piece suit complete
with top hat and cane and Deanna was looking gorgeous
as ever in her rockabilly finest, but the prize had to go to
Bob and Sandi Crane whose Austin Powers and Felicity
Shagwell outfits and impersonations had everyone in
giggles all day.
