Sassy was missing all of the cushions and she was also missing half of her bunk bed. She needed a new fridge and new water lines. She was missing her signature “S” magazine rack and she was also missing her wings and Shasta logo. I was pretty shocked at how much it would cost to buy wings for her and that they were hard to find. I finally found a pair on Ebay that I got for $200. I was also lucky enough to find the metal Shasta logo for $65. They were easy to put on because all the originally screw holes were there. I had so much fun sewing new curtains, making a new quilt and throw pillows and painting the inside and of course I had to do some fun painting on the outside. Because Sassy’s original orange slash was on the outside, I went with primary colors that went with orange. Of course I ran with the flamingo theme as well. Most of my ideas I got from magazines and online sites. I like to paint and thought it would be cool to paint a pic of me riding the well known camping bird, a big pink flamingo.
