Vintage Caravan Magazine Issue 27 | Page 6

Letters to the Editor Hi Lisa Wow, could have knocked me over with a feather when I read your email about your relocation, I can understand how much sense it makes business-wise and the market in the States for the Magazine must be huge.... just remind them you were ours first!!! Neil is busy trying to get our 1960’s replica ready for the end of October. It will be our 70th Birthdays (his Oct, mine Nov), and quite a few of the others in our Vintage Vans Group also turn the big 70, so we hope to have a celebration weekend away somewhere and debut our “Purple People Eater” Van as the colours chosen are purple, yellow and grey. Regards, RUTH – SOUTH AUSTRALIA Happy Birthday to both of you! I’ll still be back to Australia and New Zealand for the summers so you haven’t lost me entirely! I really want to make it back to Tanunda one of these days too – I have such fond memories of the rally there so long ago! Have fun and happy caravanning! Lisa Hi Lisa, I envy you and your Hudson. The hire car for our wedding in 1956 was a Hudson Pacemaker abut 1952 Model – the same age as the one on page 18 of issue 26. Best wishes for your ongoing health and congratulations on VCM which s a credit to you and a remarkable achievement. ERIC (AGED 83) – VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA Hi Eric, Thank you so much for taking the time to write me a “real” hand written letter! (I’ve only include a small part of it here.) It made my day! Your support and encouragement really means a lot to me too. Very sweet of you! Thank you! Lisa Hi Lisa, My name is Lou and I live in Sydney, Australia. I absolutely love your magazine, it’s so wonderful to see all the gorgeous caravans and read all the stories. We bought a cute little 10ft caravan last year called a Sprite Alpine. Here are a few of the photos taken the day we bought it, and as you can see we were very excited, “Oh What A Feeling!!...” We are slowly doing up our little caravan called Pixie, and when we’re finished adding a load of love and magic, we’d love an opportunity to possibly have a small article in your magazine, or even have our little Pixie be a cover girl... Happy Travels! LOU – NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA Hi Lou, Congratulations on your “Pixie”! We are always happy to receive submissions from our readers for consideration. Photos need to be high res (at least 1mb file size) and we give preference to photos with nice settings and styling that have not already been published on the internet. Lisa Hi Lisa, I received issue 26 of VCM yesterday and read about your blow with “Hudson Pedalitis” – so sorry to hear of your downfall with illness and truly hope that the doctor’s have it all in check and that you are well on the road to recovery. Thank you, too, ever so much for another magnificent edition of VCM; you and your team’s efforts are sincerely appreciated. I love reading everyone’s adventures and escapades with resto’s and outings, while the photo’s are stories themselves! Looking forward to many more editions of VCM – so long as it doesn’t compromise your health and wellbeing! Lots of love and best wishes being sent your way for your future successes and happiness, BRIDGET – WESTERN AUSTRALIA Thanks so much Bridget – your well wishes are very much appreciated! Lisa Dear Lisa, Love the magazine, we have subscribed for 2 years and now have our own Vintage Caravan, a 1966 Millard and are “Living the Dream”. Thank you very much, VIC AND KERRY – QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA Hi Lisa, I am crazy about caravans. But it is not popular in my country very much. Maybe because I live in a small island. How can I get your magazines? Please inform me. Maybe I cannot experience the caravan life but at least I can read about it. Thanks a lot. MELEKSEN 6 | vintagecaravanmagazine
