Men ’ s Club tee time cancellation procedure
While we have had an outstanding turnout of Men ’ s Club members for our Wednesday and Saturday games , we have also had more no shows than is desired . We understand that plans change and as a result members can ’ t play , but we ask when that happens , please cancel your reservation as we often have a waiting list of members who would like to play .
If you need to cancel your tee time at any time except the day of play , just cancel via your confirmation message

Rules of the Month
Several members have mentioned to me certain rules that should be reviewed
|
again , so the following are several short summaries of rules that have been addressed previously . n There is no penalty for accidently bumping a ball off the tee when beginning a hole or for hitting it with a practice swing . The ball is not considered “ in play ” until it is hit off the tee . n After teeing off , there is a one stroke penalty for hitting a ball that is “ in play ” with a practice swing . The ball needs to be replaced to its original spot . If the ball is not replaced to its original spot , a two-stroke penalty is assessed . n There is no penalty when a ball or ball marker is accidently moved on the putting green . Just replace the ball or marker and putt . n There is no penalty for an accidental double hit .
One additional rule that sometimes applies when playing “ ready golf ”:
If a player ’ s ball lies in the line of another player ’ s putt and the player is delayed in getting to the green to mark the ball , any player may mark the ball after seeking “ authorization ” from the delayed player . That means you need to ask before lifting another player ’ s ball ! When the ball is re-spotted for play , it may be done either by the player or the person who lifted your ball or caused it to move . ( Rule 14 ).
