organised on behalf of the Village Hall
Committee by Jill Buss. The children of
the two villages were then presented with
commemorative mugs kindly donated by
the McCowen family.
Whilst the adults were eating a magnificent
feast , the children were entertained by the
great Juggling Jake . You will be delighted
to know that he will be joining us again for
the Bighton and Gundleton Village Fete on
Sunday 9th September, so if you haven't
already put it in your diary, do so now!
And so finally, it comes to the Thank Yous.
This party couldn't have happened without
all of you. It was lovely that so many
people made the effort to come and we
can only hope that you enjoyed it as much
as we all did.
We can't thank everybody personally - so
thank you all - but we do feel that there
should be two special mentions. Firstly, a
massive thank you to the McCowen family
for their generosity and secondly, none of
this could happen without Bob Ellis. He
works tirelessly on behalf of the village
whether supporting the church, the Fete or
events like the Big Lunch. Bob, we can't
ever thank you and Sally enough.

Local resident Carolyn Prior said, “It was
lovely to catch up with friends. It was a day
to remember!”
As the party drew to an end it was lovely to
see so many people pulling together in true
community spirit.
