St. Ursula Villa classmates Maddie
Shanahan and Max Williams
graduated from The Ohio State
University Moritz College of Law
in May. Maddie will be joining the
Columbus, OH law firm of Wiles
Burkholder & Teetor, LLC. Max has
joined the Cincinnati firm of Frost
Brown Todd, LLC.
Sarah Mahon received her Master
of Marketing degree from The
Owen School of Management at
Vanderbilt University in Nashville,
TN. She has joined the brand
management team at Million Dollar
Baby in Los Angeles, CA. Clair Hopper graduated cum
laude from Rice University
in Houston, TX, receiving the
University’s Charles S. Garside,
Jr. Prize which will fund a year-
long exploration of American
independent ceramics and
ceramicists nationwide. Clair
is currently serving as Object
Learning Fellow at the Museum of
Fine Arts Houston.
Connor Jones graduated
from John Carroll University in
Cleveland, OH. While at JCU, he
was a member and captain of the
men's lacrosse team which won the
conference championship three of his
four years. Connor is continuing his
education at John Carroll, pursuing
a Master of Business degree. Scottie Emmert graduated
from the University of Cincinnati’s
baccalaureate Medical Sciences
program and will attend the
University of Cincinnati Medical
School. Scottie was recognized by
the University as a recipient of the
Presidential Leadership Medal
of Excellence.

Kate Gibler graduated in May
from St. Louis University where
she studied Nursing. She spent
one semester in Madrid, Spain and
participated in a medical mission
trip to Honduras. Kate plans to start
her nursing career in Cincinnati and
will coach St. Ursula Villa’s 8 th -grade
girls’ volleyball team next year.
Nikki Weaver graduated in May
from Miami University majoring in
marketing and business analytics.
She has joined Burke, Inc. in
Cincinnati as Associate Project
Manager. She will join fellow Villa
classmate Kate Gibler as a coach for
the Villa’s 8 th -grade girls’ volleyball
team next year.

Sylvia Wampler graduated in May
from the Farmer School of Business
at Miami University. She spent a
semester studying abroad at the IQS
School of Management in Barcelona,
Spain and will be working for
Groupon in Chicago, IL.

Gretchen Thomas is a Junior
at Xavier University majoring
in Middle Childhood Education.
She was inducted into the
Xavier University's first chapter
of the Kappa Delta Pi (KDP),
International Honor Society in
Education in 2014 and made the
Dean’s List Spring of 2019.
