FACULTY NOTES Faculty and Staff Celebrate Milestones At this spring’s final school Mass, nine members of the Villa faculty and staff were recognized for their milestone years of service to the school. Ms. Kate O’Grady (10), Ms. Sue Olberding (5), Ms. Susan Friedman (5), Ms. Jessica Harding (5), Ms. Cathy Plummer (5), Ms. Debbie Ellis (5), Ms. Ginny Verdin (5), and Ms. Nicole Rouse (5). Alumni News 1994 Maeve Rochford has been named 2019 Chef of the Year by the California Restaurant Association. Chef Maeve is the owner and Executive Chef at Sugar and Scribe, a restaurant and bakery in La Jolla, CA. She was also the winner of the 2015 Food Network Holiday Baking Championship. 2001 MaryEvan Thacker Hellebusch, D.M.D, has been named partner at Thacker Orthodontics. MaryEvan attended Vanderbilt University, the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, and Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She joined the Thacker Orthodontics team in 2017. 2007 Jack Hopper married fellow Northwestern University alum Laura Pettersen in Chicago, IL where they both reside. Jack is a Senior Associate at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital and will begin his Master of Science in Business Analytics at University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business in January. Betsy Emmert graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law in May and has joined the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl in Cincinnati. 2004 Alexandra Jones Dulle and her husband Brien welcomed their first child, Claire Pamela, on August 19, 2018. In addition to being a full-time mother, Alex also works part-time at Medpace as a Regulatory Document Specialist. She and her family reside in Anderson Township. 2008 Tori Mahon will be attending Columbia University Business School to pursue her Master of Business Administration degree. She has spent the last three years at Deloitte Consulting in Atlanta, GA. 24
