NEW PROJECTS IN THE NORTHEAST METRO
2026 will be another busy year filled with development and redevelopment projects throughout the northeast metro. Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake, Shoreview and Hugo all have projects planned.
VADNAIS HEIGHTS
In Vadnais Heights, several new projects broke ground in late 2025 and will be finished by the end of 2026.
St. Paul Eye Clinic is building a new 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility at 1130 City Center Drive in Vadnais Heights. Just down the street at 1135 and 1145 City Center Drive, Chase Real Estate is building Gallery Vadnais Heights, a multi-family residential development which will include two market rate apartment buildings with approximately 360 units.
The construction sites are just northeast of the junction where Interstate 35E and County Road E meet.“ The apartment complexes and medical-office facility are now fully under construction. We also have a 12-unit supportive housing development going up in cooperation with Solid Ground; and a 7 Brew Coffee drive-through coming. They are new to Minnesota and we are one of a handful of locations that will be opening in the state this year,” said Nolan Wall, Planning / Community Development

The 7 Brew Coffee will be right across the street from City Hall. Also in 2026, the Walmart store is undergoing a $ 4 million remodel.
