“ The reach for this program quickly expanded beyond the North Metro. The reason that happened is because people hear from prior participants about NMYP and want to sign up,” said Hoglund.
According to Liz Moscatelli, Executive Director of VHEDC, the organization tapped Hoglund to develop the program because,“ she brings a deep passion for working with the young professionals in our business community.”
PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE 2026 NMYP PROGRAM

“ Nancy dedicates herself fully, focusing not only on their professional development but also on encouraging them to look inward to bring out their very best. Her one-on-one coaching style provides an opportunity for each young pro to brainstorm ideas and find solutions,” she said.
To date, more than 100 people have participated in NMYP. Many of them remain involved with the program today and attend ongoing events.
Participants Jack Livingston, Cody Kroening and Mitch Anderson from Royal Credit Union; Kaylin Clement and Phillip Lundquist from the City of Vadnais Heights; Megan Kysylyczyn from the White Bear Food Shelf; and Caleb Peterson from Frandsen Bank & Trust return often as guest speakers. Molly Ulring has become the official photographer for the group.
“ At the end of the year, it is so amazing to see the transformation. I love when the participants in the cohort talk about their own transformation and what all has occurred for them as a result of participating in the program,” said Hoglund, who added that just because the program comes to an end doesn’ t mean it’ s over for the majority of participants.
Hoglund is still working with people who participated in NMYP as far back as 2017.
The NMYP program is designed for people between the ages of 21 and 39. While some of the participants are early in their professional journey, many are already several years into their careers, own businesses and serve in leadership roles.
Participants for the 2026 NMYP cohort have already been selected. The deadline for companies to nominate employees for the 2027 program will be December 18, 2026. Nominations can be made online at VHEDC. com / northeast-metro-young-professionals /
