About St. Paul Eye Clinic
Originally established in 1969 by a couple of doctors relentlessly focused on patient care and the experience, St. Paul Eye Clinic now has around 180 employees, including 15 ophthalmologists. Available services include everything from routine annual eye exams to cataract surgeries, glaucoma treatments, oculoplastic procedures and other specialized surgery services.
The clinic is one of the largest in the Twin Cities, with more than 110,000 check-ins completed in 2025. Unlike many eye care practices that are owned by private equity firms, or part of large medical groups, St. Paul Eye Clinic remains independently physicianowned.
“ We believe that remaining independent allows us to be nimble. It allows us to be hyper-focused on the patients we serve, and that recipe has served the clinic well. It’ s what has allowed us to be successful for nearly 60 years,” said Kulstad.
