The VHEDC couldn’ t do the great work we do in the community without the support of our strategic partners. We want to thank the Vadnais Heights Lions Club and the Vadnais Heights Area Community Foundation( VHACF) for the incredible contributions they make.
Vadnais Heights Lions Club
Beginning in 2025 and continuing into 2026, the focus for the Vadnais Heights Lions Club will be on expanding partnerships with local businesses, including Time on the Water, which serves military veterans by providing opportunities to get out and go fishing.
“ We got involved with them because one of our Lions Club members is involved with that organization. They help us with our waffle breakfast, and they come into our organization and talk about what they do. We’ ve donated money to them as well,” said Pam Radziszewski, Marketing and Communications Chair for the Vadnais Heights Lions Club.
The Vadnais Heights Lions Club has also partnered with Xcel Energy’ s Partners in Energy program and Minnesota GreenStep Cities, which are aimed at helping cities reduce their energy bills and carbon footprints and improving sustainability. Both organizations in-turn help with the Lions Club’ s annual toy drive, waffle breakfast and senior luncheon.
In 2025, the Lions Club also participated in Freedom Days for the first time and collected food for the local food shelf.“ We always try to have a collection barrel at events for food items,” said Radziszewski.“ We also donated money to Keystone Community Services to go towards the cost of purchasing a vehicle for a mobile food shelf that will distribute food in Maplewood, Little Canada, Roseville and other north suburban areas.”
As the Vadnais Heights Lions Club continues to build on its legacy of service, club members invite the community to support service projects.“ The reason people join our organization is they want to be able to help the community. We believe that everyone has the potential to make a difference, regardless of their interests, background or age. Whether through direct involvement, attending events or raising awareness, we are making Vadnais Heights a more sustainable and vibrant place to live,” said Radziszewski.
