VHEDC 2023 BOARD RETREAT
Each year the VHEDC Board of Directors attend a strategic planning session led by Nancy Hoglund , President of Hoglund Coaching . The theme this year was “ Building Better !” The board also brainstorms ideas and finds way to connect with the new board members through strategic planning and creating a 2023 Road Map .
The board members revisit the 2023 Road Map during the year to make adjustments depending on the strategic needs of the business partners and nonprofit groups in the northeast metro area .
The 2023 retreat was held at the Best Western Country Inn in White Bear Lake on February 1 , 2023 . VHEDC Board President Kyle Sommer shared his vision for the upcoming year . The roundtable conversations focused on three top initiatives :

• Business , Retention & Expansion ( BR & E )
• Investor Relations
