Branches of the public power

The division of state functions occurs in a system in which decision-making power is concentrated in a single organism, while the mechanism by which that power is exercised is delegated to different organs of government.

Judicial:

The Judiciary, along with the entire legal system in Cuba, was deliberately dismantled after the triumph of the Cuban revolution and allowed the practice of the law to atrophy

Executive: The branch of the Executive Branch consists of the Council of Ministers, whose members are selected by the President of the Council of State. The Council of Ministers is created to function as a cabinet. The Council of Ministers is responsible, among other things, for conducting all political, economic, social, and scientific and defense matters in the country

Legislative: This body has the authority, among other things, to approve and revoke all laws, declare any law unconstitutional, prepare and approve the budget, appoint all judges, make all decisions regarding currency and credit for the country and approve all plans for social and economic development
