First Baptist Church Cookie Sale
First Baptist Church in Manchester Center will be having a homemade cookie sale . We will have over twenty varieties of homemade cookies . The sale is December 10 from 10am-1pm . Unit 69 ’ s Breakfast with Santa Claus
Paul LaFountain Unit 69 in Arlington will be having Breakfast with Santa Claus on December 11 from 9:30-10:30am . Kids eat for $ 4 . We are asking parents to please drop off gifts of $ 15 to the legion wrapped with your child ’ s name on it . Children ’ s Christmas Bizarre
Hicks Orchard , located at 18 Hicks Rd . in Granville NY , will be offering a free Children ’ s Christmas Bazaar on December 10 from 11am-2pm . This event will feature more than 20 vendors offering homemade crafts and gift items for children to shop for their loved ones for the holidays . Items will range from $ 1 to $ 10 with free gift wrapping available . Special guests include Santa and Mrs . Claus and kid-friendly animals . Annual Holiday Festival of Tiny Trees
The Dollhouse and Toy Museum of Vermont is once again staging its annual holiday Festival of Tiny Trees , with more than 200 decorated miniature trees placed all around the museum , including in the galleries of Vermont MoMA , the Vermont Museum of Miniature Art . Many of the trees have been created by local artists , and all of the dollhouses now are decorated for the holidays . For those wanting to decorate their own dollhouses for the holidays , some of the miniature trees will be for sale . Vermont MoMA showcases the works of many famous artists from Vermeer to Andy Warhol to John Singer Sargent and Modligiani in miniature form , along with works of local artist Patsy Santo that capture many scenes of Bennington in the ‘ 50s and ’ 60s . The new exhibits for the holidays showcase dolls representing characters from vintage Christmas films , including Shirley Temple , who appeared in a half dozen holiday films as a child . There also will be a display of vintage nutcrackers , many of them from Germany .
The Dollhouse and Toy Museum is located at 212 Union Street in Bennington and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm . It will be closed on Christmas Day , but an expanded schedule will have it open from 1-4pm daily from December 26 through New Year ’ s Eve . Admission is $ 2 for children three and older , $ 4 for adults , and $ 10 for families . Hanukkah Light & Rhythm
The Candle Dipping and Drumming Workshop is on December 10 from 12-3pm located at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship , 108 School St ., Bennington , VT . Come make your own colorful , handdipped beeswax Hanukkah candles and then join a lively drum circle co-led by Rabbi Jarah Greenfield and Otha Day in anticipation of the Festival of Lights . This workshop , geared toward families with children ages 3 and older ( teens and adults are also welcome ) will engage the heart , hand , and spirit to personalize the rituals of Hanukkah and experience Jewish music in a whole new way , in concert with West African rhythms .
