Neighbor to Neighbor Open House
On August 8 from 2pm to 4pm , Neighbor to Neighbor will host an open house to recruit volunteer drivers to transport our participants to medical appointments , grocery stores , and to N2N social events . It will be held at our office in First Congregational Church , 3624 Main St . in Manchester , VT . Our participants live in Manchester , Arlington , Sunderland , Dorset , Rupert , Pawlet , Danby , and Wells . We especially need drivers who live in the Rupert / Pawlet area . The Southwestern Vermont Chamber announced this week the launch of RelocateToVermont . com , a new web portal aimed at attracting newcomers and supporting their journey to discover the vibrant communities and opportunities in the region .
The portal serves as a gateway for individuals and families considering a move to Southwestern Vermont , showcasing the unique benefits of living in the area . Designed with user experience in mind , the website is both attractive and intuitive , providing easy navigation and a means for connecting with Lascari himself , who serves as a concierge for anyone curious or serious about living in Bennington County .
Key features of the web portal include : Statistical data highlighting the benefits of living in Southwestern Vermont ; Geographic data showing commute times to major metropolitan areas ; and an Intake form for personalized relocation guidance . The website also features rotating testimonials from people who have recently moved , showcasing their experiences and why they chose Southwestern Vermont as their home .
The website is part of a larger initiative with the State of Vermont in partnership with the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Shires Young Professionals who were among of the recipients of the inaugural Grants for Relocation Outreach Work ( GROW ) program by the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing ( VDTM ). The GROW program aims to support local , regional , county-wide , or statewide organizations engaged in new resident relocation , recruitment , and retention activities .
