Peace Circles Continue in Manchester

Need more peace in your life ? Consider attending the next Peace Circle on August 8 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the First Congregational Church in Manchester , 3624 Main St . We will examine the journey of what it takes to embody Peace and continue to identify what we need to have in place in our lives , to walk with more peace in our hearts and in our bones . Offered on a sliding scale of $ 15-25 / person . Registration is required . Peace Circles are facilitated by Teresa King . Free Community Dinner in Hebron

The Hebron United Presbyterian Church is offering a free community dinner on August 13 from 4pm to 6pm . The event will be held at the brick church at 3153 County Route 30 in the settlement of West Hebron . Bring your family , bring a friend . Meet your rural neighbors from Hebron and surrounding towns including from “ over the mountain ” in neighboring Vermont ! Learn about upcoming and ongoing events at the church ( east and west ) as well as in the community . We ’ re having summer picnic food : hot dogs , brats , and salads . Gluten-free and vegetarian options will be available . Dinner will include dessert and beverages . Our facility is handicapped accessible , park in our ample parking lot and enter at the rear of the building . 28th Annual Children ’ s Fishing Tournament

Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association ( L . L . I . A .)’ s 28th annual children ’ s fishing tournament will take place on August 3 at the Washington County Park Pavilion on beautiful Lake Lauderdale . The tournament is free and open to all young anglers age 15 and under and is strictly catch and release only . The tournament runs from 8am to 10:30am and concludes with a free hot dog lunch for all participants . As always , there will be no fee charged to children entering the contest .
