What brought you to Vermont ?
We both grew up in the same neighborhood in Brattleboro , went to the same elementary school , Green Street School , and were neighbors on Green Street in high school and college .
Kiera – my grandparents moved to Vermont when they were in their 20 ’ s ; they stayed and raised their kids here . My family is from Windsor and Windham counties .
Cory – my family has a long history of living in Vermont , specifically Bennington county , dating back to the late 18th century . My parents moved to Vermont when they were in their 20 ’ s from Williamstown , Massachusetts and New York City , New York .
What keeps you here ?
Both our families are here in Vermont , and most within 45 minutes driving . We love the natural beauty of the state , the self-reliant spirit , and communities . We believe it ’ s the best state in the country to grow up in because you get to be a kid for a long time . Enjoy nature , hang out with friends in the woods , buy from local farms and growers , and have access to government leaders who care about maintaining the spirit of freedom and unity among our towns . We ’ re excited for when we start our own family here , too .
