SPOTLIGHT
NEW PRIMARY
STUDENT COUNCIL
We are proud to introduce you to our Primary
Student Council:
Emma R. - Year 3A
Stefan O. - Year 3B
Annie S. - Year 4A
Olga S. - Year 4B
Victor C. - Year 5A
Matei O. - Year 5B
Maia N. - Year 6.
After a presentation on leadership and the role of
the student council, students from years 3-6 were
invited to apply to become a class representative
on our council. On their application, students had
to share the ideas they had for VIS, and express
what made them a great leader. After reviewing
all applications with the help of our faculty, one
student was selected from each class. Student
Council provides an opportunity for students to
engage in a structured partnership with teachers,
parents and school leaders in the operation of
their school.
12 | VERITA INSIGHTS
Students have a voice at Verita
International School and a valuable
contribution to make to the
effectiveness of our school and their
involvement in the operation of the
school.
It is equally important that they are listened to and
encouraged to take an active part in promoting the
aims and objectives of the school. The main role of the
student council is "to make Verita International School
even more awesome.” Our Student Council will identify
activities that it would like to be involved in organising,
to make VIS an even more amazing place to learn. It
enables students to take responsibility for projects and
to demonstrate that they can manage and bring such
projects to a successful conclusion.
Congratulations student representatives!
