EVENTS RECAP
Katie Decker Reilly ‘ 10 ‘ 12M , Ryan Salah ‘ 15 , and Tara Shishmanian ‘ 15 finished their terms after years of unprecedented service . Alumni Board President Blaire Miller ‘ 05 will transition to her new role as Liaison to the Board of Trustees .
TAG ( THANK A GIVER ) DAY
The Student Government Association , in partnership with Student Activities and Mustang Activities and Programming , presented SU is Home Week the last week of April . The week of spirited events featured Arts Alive ! presentations , NCAA DIII match ups , an Undergraduate Admissions Open House and Day of Giving . During the culminating event on April 29 , students , faculty , and staff participated in Thank A Giver ( TAG ) Day . Participants wrote thank you postcards to our generous Day of Giving donors , learned about the impact of philanthropy at Stevenson , and were featured in our Day of Giving Thank You Video all while enjoying lawn games and Food Trucks .
HALL OF FAME
Delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the university inducted the 2021 Dick Watts Athletics Hall of Fame during an inperson celebration on April 29 . The class is the eighth to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since its founding in 2014 . Lisa Baker ‘ 11 of women ’ s lacrosse , Jimmy Dailey ‘ 11 of men ’ s lacrosse , softball standout Sarah Moelter ‘ 10 , Steve Seagers ‘ 06 ‘ 08M of men ’ s basketball , Mike Simon ‘ 09 of men ’ s lacrosse , and field hockey ’ s Kara Zimmerman ‘ 11 represent the six former student-athletes to be inducted .
Additionally , former women ’ s lacrosse coach and current Assistant Athletic Director MC McFadden was inducted as a contributor , while the 2010 men ’ s lacrosse team was honored as the Team of Tradition .
ALUMNI BOARD MEETING
On May 12 , the 2021-2022 Alumni Association Board met in the President ’ s Box at Mustang Stadium for their final meeting of the fiscal year and member celebration . The Alumni Association Board builds alumni connections and provides continuous commitment to the growing Stevenson University community . ALUMNI REUNION GAMES
During the month of April , men ’ s soccer , women ’ s soccer , field hockey , and women ’ s lacrosse welcomed alumni student-athletes to Mustang Stadium for Reunion Games . It was great to see our alumni participate in this Stevenson tradition !
STEVENSON DAY AT INVERNESS BREWING
Alumni , parents , families , and friends gathered in Monkton , Md ., for Stevenson Day at Inverness Brewing on May 15 . There was something for everyone with live music , food vendors , and craft beer tastings . A special invitation was extended to members of the Class of 2022 who were celebrating their upcoming commencement as part of the traditional Grad Weekend festivities . Stevenson guests received SU branded pint classes and matching can koozies as mementos .
