In addition , Rowan Wilson , junior , Legal Studies , has been accepted to the University of Baltimore School of Law through the SU / UB 3 + 3 program . Rowan will enroll in his first year of law school following completion of his junior year at SU .

Congratulations to Ian Sachs , the first recipient of the James and Jacqueline Stradtner Endowed Internship in Environmental Sciences for the 2022-2023 academic year . Ian is double majoring in Biology and Environmental Science , is a Leadership Scholar , a member of SU ’ s Honors program , and student advisor to the Center for Diversity and Inclusion . He used funds provided by the Endowed Internship to pursue research this summer at the USDA Bee Research Laboratory in Beltsville , Md ., with some of the top bee experts in the nation .

Six undergraduate School of Education students have been nominated as Maryland Teachers of Promise . As part of this honor , Kalyn Marie Hopkins , Kayla Gillis Develin , Grace Marisa Hollin , Lauren Elizabeth Cummins , Amaya Nicole Barboza , and Gretchen Leanne Blackiston were invited to participate in the Maryland State Department of Education Teachers of Promise Institute held in April .
