1967
Sally DiPaula ’ s debut novel , Once Upon a Time in Baltimore , was published in June . It is a family saga and an historical novel involving interconnected lives from several generations . She also recently completed a young adult mystery entitled , Captain Moretti ’ s Daughter . Sally and her husband reside in Washington , D . C . She received a master ’ s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland College Park .

Condolences to Carole Glowacki ( Andrews ) on the passing of her husband , Gerald , on May 6 , 2022 .
1995
Catherine Barrett was appointed Associate Superintendent of Academics and Accountability by the Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction .
1997
Last October Christine Siemek Celeste ’ 97 ’ 99 was appointed to the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court by Governor Larry Hogan . At the time of her appointment , Celeste was an Attorney Advisor for the U . S . Customs and Border Protection and previously served as Assistant Bar Counsel with the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission . She spent most of her career as a prosecutor in Baltimore City .
Amanda “ Brooke ” Cavey married Jonathan Lee ’ 99 in the fall of 2019 . She received a bachelor ’ s degree from Towson University in Elementary Education , and a master ’ s degree from Walden University in Curriculum , Instruction and Assessment .
1998
Jennifer Christ joined the University of Maryland Shore Medical Group - Primary Care practice in Centreville , Md . She has more than 25 years of experience in health promotion , disease prevention , acute and chronic care management , health education , and hospital administration . Christ began her career as an intensive care nurse and also served in surgical recovery , case management , and nursing administration roles .

Congratulations to the following alumni who were inducted into the 2022 Dick Watts Athletics Hall of Fame in a ceremony held on Oct . 21 : Cari Baker Biscoe ’ 01 for women ’ s field hockey and women ’ s lacrosse ; BJ Miller ’ 02 for men ’ s soccer ; Julianne Dawson ( Roper ) ’ 11 for women ’ s softball ; Richie Ford ’ 11 for men ’ s lacrosse ; Evan Douglass ’ 11 for men ’ s lacrosse ; and Stephanie Eyler ’ 11 ’ 13M for women ’ s soccer and women ’ s tennis . Christine Noya received posthumous recognition in the contributor category , and the 2010 women ’ s soccer team was honored as the Team of Tradition .
2003
Jennifer Sellers Zeller was recognized by The Daily Record as a Health Care Hero and a Nurse Practitioner of the Year . She joined the University of Maryland St . Joseph Medical Center in 2017 as a general surgery nurse practitioner , and was recently named Director of Advanced Practice Provider Services and General Surgery Nurse Practitioner . Dr . Zeller previously worked at Mercy Medical Center and the University of Maryland Medical Center .

Christopher “ CJ ” D ’ Alessio was promoted to the Director of Underwriting at Harford Mutual Insurance Group , and is responsible for managing the mid-market and large accounting divisions as well as overseeing the underwriting support teams . D ’ Alessio joined Harford Mutual in 2012 .
2006
Rasheda Brown is a customer service representative at ELSCO Elevators in Owings Mills , Md . She married Ditamichelle Parker in September 2021 and has a daughter , Jendaya Brown .
Carolyn Hale has worked as a freelance Equity Options Trader in Greenwich , CT , since 2022 .
2007
Mark Grossblatt was accepted to The Institute of Islamic Christian and Jewish Studies Justice Fellowship at Goucher College . The fellowship is a ten-month intensive program for local community , nonprofit , and civic leaders to study and dialogue together .
2008
Christina Callahan is an English teacher at John Hanson Middle School in Waldorf , Md . While at SU she was a member of the women ’ s volleyball team , and during the summer she conducted volleyball camps and clinics for girls of varying ages and skill levels . While she still has a passion for playing and coaching , Callahan says her real passion is motivating the players to keep improving their skills .
Matthew “ Matt ” Seiler was appointed as the Director for the Career Connection Center at SU . As a member of the Career Connections staff for five years , he first served as the Coordinator for Marketing and Events , and was promoted to Assistant Director for Employer Relations and then Associate Director for Employer Relations and Communication .
Samuel Tressler IV ( director ) and Nick Midwig ’ 10 ( cinematographer ) were part of the local film crew that produced LEDA , a reimagined tale of the ancient Greek myth of Leda and the Swan . The film , told without words and in black and white , was shot entirely in Maryland and showcases several
