MUSTANG CAREER MENTORS
On Thursday , March 2 , the Office of University Advancement and the Career Connection Center presented the third annual Mustang Career Mentor Mixer . In person again for the first time since 2020 , 18 alumni and 30 students engaged in short , round robin discussions about career paths , interviewing , and more . This event is a continuation of connections that alumni form online with students through the Mustang Career Mentors platform powered by PeopleGrove . SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON
In April , generous individuals , foundations , and corporate partners visited the campus to celebrate student scholarship recipients during the annual Scholarship Luncheon .
EAST CAMPUS RIBBON CUTTING
On April 12 , we celebrated a decadeslong effort to expand the campus . With the addition of 117 acres to Stevenson ’ s campus , East Campus includes fields for soccer , lacrosse , field hockey , softball , and baseball . It also features a state-of-the-art outdoor track and field complex , three cross country courses , and an artificial turf field .
STEVENSON DAY AT INVERNESS
Stevenson alumni and the Class of 2023 gathered at Inverness Brewing Company on Saturday , May 13 . Though it was a rainy afternoon , it was wonderful to see so many wearing SU gear and sharing their Mustang pride .
ALUMNI AWARDS
Congratulations to all who received awards as part our commencement ceremonies on May 15 and 16 . The Alumni Association Board is pleased to recognize Scott Murray ’ 01 with the Loyal Alumni Award , Shervonne Cherry ’ 05 with the Distinguished Alumni Award , and Matthew Bramble ’ 10 with the
Young Alumni Award . Scott , Shervonne , and Matthew have each made an impact on a larger community while remaining connected to SU . We are grateful for all of the ways they have given back .

AHEAD TO FALL EVENTS
We are looking ahead to a fall filled with events celebrating the Stevenson University Community .
Mark your calendars for Saturday , October 21 for Homecoming . We will have additional information soon regarding the opening of the Philip A . Zaffere Library and an event sponsored by our Alumni Association at Boordy Vineyards .
The next season of the Baltimore Speaker Series begins on September 27 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor . The rest of the season includes Academy and Emmy Award winner Jane Fonda , Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger , US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch , Yale professor and podcast host Laurie Santos , presidential historian and author Michael Beschloss , and ocean conservation advocate Celine Cousteau . With such an exciting season ahead , we look forward to seeing you there !
