HIGHLIGHTS
Baseball finished 21-17 with a 12-11 mark in the MAC Commonwealth Conference . They inaugurated the new East campus with a 12-8 record at home . Sam Downs was named as the Commonwealth Pitcher of the Year , one of four players to receive All-MAC honors . Downs was later named an All-Region selection .
Men ’ s Basketball ended the season 12-13 with a 6-10 mark in the MAC Commonwealth Conference . Nate Arrington and Cameron Smith were named to the All-MAC team as honorable mention selections . Later in the year , head coach Gary Stewart attended the prestigious NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy .
Men ’ s Golf finished third in the MAC at the 2022-23 Championship , as Luke Schwartz and Lenny Lenahan earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors for finishing tied for sixth . The team won its own home invitational on April 17 , finishing top out of 10 teams with a score of 299 .
Men ’ s Ice Hockey cleaned up several major awards , including Liam McCanney being named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year and Ryan Kenny named as the
MAC Defensive Player of the Year . The team won the MAC Championship with a 9-0-1 record and advanced to the UCHC Semifinals . McCanney was tapped as an All-American selection , and was finalist for the Sid Watson Award , given to the AHCA Division II-III Player of the Year .
Men ’ s Lacrosse finished the year 11-8 and 7-1 in the MAC Commonwealth Conference . The Mustangs finished as runners-up in the conference , and played one of the most challenging schedules in the country , including seven ranked teams . The Mustangs also played the eventual national champion in Salisbury . Cam Leydig was named as the Midfielder of the Year , and was a MAC Scholar- Athlete selection as well .
Men ’ s Swimming finished eighth at the MAC Championships , as Ian D ’ Angiolillo became the first ever Stevenson swimmer to win a gold medal as he won the 100-butterfly at 50.76 . During the dual meet season , Stevenson was 8-7 during the dual meet season , and an even 4-4 in the MAC .
Men ' s Tennis finished as the MAC Commonwealth runner-up , losing to Lebanon Valley in the title match . The Mustangs were selected to the ECAC Championship , but , that was cancelled
