Academic Programs Receive National Recognition and Accreditations
This year, multiple Stevenson programs received new national accreditations and designations. Each of these is a testament to the quality of our academic programs.
Biomedical Engineering Program Receives ABET Accreditation The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology( ABET). ABET is a leading quality assurance organization focused on college and university programs in the science, technology, engineering, and math( STEM) disciplines.
Healthcare Management Program Receives IACBE Accreditation The Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management program received external accreditation from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education( IACBE). Healthcare Management is Stevenson’ s sixth program to be accredited by IACBE, the leading outcomes-based professional accreditation agency for business and management education in colleges and universities.
Stevenson University has again been recognized as a“ Best Value School” and ranks among the“ Best Colleges – Regional Universities( North)” according to U. S. News & World Report. The 2026 Best Colleges rankings were released on September 23.
U. S. News awards the“ Best Value” designation by evaluating multiple factors, including academic quality in relation to the average net price paid by full-time undergraduates after grants and aid. Only institutions ranked in or near the top half of their categories are considered, as U. S. News emphasizes that the most meaningful values come from colleges with above-average academic standards.
“ Stevenson is proud to be consistently recognized as a U. S. News Best Value,” said President Elliot Hirshman.“ We offer students a breadth of opportunities found at larger universities combined with a personalized, supportive environment— all at a cost competitive with public universities. This designation affirms the success of our approach.”

SU Designated a NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity
Stevenson has been designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense( CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency( NSA). To qualify, the NSA reviewed Stevenson’ s Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics and Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics programs to ensure they meet the highest national standards in cybersecurity education and prepare graduates to tackle evolving challenges in the field. The CAE-CD designation strengthens Stevenson’ s position as a leader in cybersecurity education and provides new opportunities for both students and faculty, including scholarships and internship opportunities; research and grant funding; and opportunities to participate in exclusive cybersecurity conferences, seminars, and training programs.
