Gig Preview: Mac DeMarco, End of the Road festival
Having previously performed at the festival back in 2015, and as part of his tour for new record This Old Dog, Mac DeMarco is set to return to Dorset’ s End of the Road festival later this Summer. Headlining alongside folk-indie musician Father John Misty, and playing amongst acts such as Slowdive, The Jesus & Mary Chain and Parquet Courts, the singer has expressed his admiration for the festival and it’ s founder, Simon Taffe, in numerous interviews.
If his 2015 performance is anything to go by, fans should expect a sense of utter madness, hilarious onstage banter and lots of crowd surfing. With an album that’ s much more matured and personal in it’ s content than any of the singer’ s previous work, Mac DeMarco is sure to captivate his crowd- enhancing the intimate, relaxed vibe that is part of what makes End of the Road festival so special.
