Quick Quick Fire Fire with with Fur Fur Gig Gig Review: Review: Fur Fur / / The The Joker Joker Pub Pub / / 03.04.17 03.04.17 Following on from their support acts, Brighton-born surf rockers The Geisha Girls and garage-pop four- piece TRASH who have travelled from Derbyshire, the venue reaches it's capacity and tickets sell out. It’s been four months since what was meant to be their last ever gig, however, the boys from Fur are now back. Upon taking to the stage, the crowd erupts with applause and screams from the band members’ friends and families. Within seconds, the indie-pop quartet are strumming away to their most popular song Creature, as the crowd nostalgically sing (shout) along to every word. Amongst other fan favourites such as Eyes and Can’t Be You, the band banter back and forth about how exciting it is to be back on the stage, and follow this with a Beatles cover and unfinished material that “doesn’t have a title yet”. As Fur finish their set with the slow-yet-soothing One and Twenty, each of the band’s members look around at each other and, in-between lyrics, express their love for one another and admiration for the crowd. Tonight had been the start of a new journey for Fur, and if their comeback gig is anything to go by, they’ll be at the top within no time at all. Written by Tatjana Harrington-Steward SETlist 1.
