FOOTBALL
Varsity College’s involvement with football took
an exciting turn in 2014 with the introduction
of our own Football Club – Varsity College FC at
the Sandton campus in Gauteng. Varsity College
FC is open to students, alumni and the public.
The club currently has a senior men’s team and
a ladies’ team. The men’s team operates from
Old Parktonians Sports Club and VCFC provides
a platform for talented players to take their
football careers to the next level. The male players
participate in the Rand Central Local Football
Association DSL premier league as well as in the
Gauteng Universities Football League (GUFL).
For the ladies, Varsity College has joined forces
with the Janine Van Wyk (JVW) Football Academy
to promote and develop women’s football at
Varsity College.
Varsity College Cape Town are also raising their
Football game and have a team participating in the
Cape Town Tygerberg Football League.
