SURFING
With outposts in Cape Town, Durban North and Westville, the Varsity
College Surfing Clubs boast captains that are among South Africa’s
most talented surfers. Most of our campuses offer a “Learn to Surf”
program for those just getting started, and surfboards are provided for
those who don’t yet have their own. Advanced sessions are available
for experienced surfers, as is the opportunity to represent Varsity
College at the annual USSA surfing event in Victoria Bay, where some
of the best in the country compete and where Varsity College has built a
formidable reputation. In the last 3 years our team has achieved podium
placings. Yet it is in the individual results that they’ve shown complete
dominance, winning numerous gold medals. This talent, passion and
dedication is what feeds the Varsity College Surfing Club.
