GOLF
Golf is offered at both a social and
competitive level at Varsity College.
Our social clubs are based at the
Westville, Durban North, Cape Town,
Sandton, Waterfall and Pretoria
campuses. Each club has relationships
with local driving ranges, where the
clubs practice on a weekly basis. The
clubs are run by experienced captains
who are able to assist beginners
with the basics, as well as take more
advanced players to the next level.
For those more competitive golfers,
there is an opportunity to represent
Varsity College at the annual USSA
golf Championships, where the top 8
golfers from Varsity College campuses
around the country compete against
other tertiary institutions. At the 2015
USSA Champs Varsity College won
gold in the stroke play competition and
silver in the match play rounds. 2016
saw the team win silver in the stroke
play competition and both teams
placed in the top 6 in the country.
