Final Draft 1

Talk

By: Alejandra Diaz

Once upon a time, small children were born

An entire generation of fresh faces brought to change this world

Didn't know much except that green veggies didn't belong in your stomach.

In the next five or four years we develop personality.

Our brains now ignited with the flint we called ideas

to which we turned that into a tool called imagination.

Our determined mindset and innocence lead us to believe we could conquer any challenge life threw at us.

Because that was the idea mommy and daddy put in our heads.

We were taught at such a young age that we could do anything if we were willing to face our problems.

Unfortnately the old saying everyone says

''Life isn't fair"

Isn't far from the truth

Because one day as we grow older

Our world changed.

Fastfoward a decade later and you'll see the same kids

but they act so diffrently now.

We lost the fire we once had when we were young

something in our lives turned off our light switch.

Week after week we come back to the same hallways

A constant cycle of surving one day and repeats when the sun rises yet again.
