Every now and then a diamond comes through and shines brighter than other diamonds in the same basket, and Buhle Moletsane is showing all the signs of shining brighter than everyone around her, and this gave me one of the most energetic and lively interviews I have ever had… Let’s get to know this all-round entertainer a bit more.
NM: Who is Buhle Moletsane ?
BM: Buhle Moletsane, I’m an actress first, and I DJ as well, I play house (deep, commercial, gqom, amapiano), this combination helps me fit in any time slot I am booked for.
NM: Where do you come from and how has the journey been so far?
BM: I was born in raised in Johannesburg, and entertainment is one thing I was guaranteed to be in. I started with modeling, then acting came along and dancing, then being a DJ is something I have been doing for a year now, and it has been an exciting time, and I have reached a few milestones in the DJ space so far.
BM: It started from playing for two people, I played for the staff. Then I started getting some residencies and then landed a Strawberry Lips Ambassadorship last year, and after that moment things changed and I started getting bookings, and it has been an exciting journey.
NM: What is more challenging between acting and being a DJ?
BM: All of them are challenging in their own way, and I have always told people that all the art forms I have been involved in are kinds of communication platforms; I communicate for a living. For me communication has been my life, and so that is why I say they are all challenging in their own way, and they are part of a learning process, and we learn from our mistakes. I like to play around, and that how I learn more about I am doing at that time.
