The industry led initiative mobilised record labels, broadcasters, radio stations and media houses together with talent support from Caiphus Semenya, Busiswa, Nasty C, Amanda Black, Kelly Khumalo, Riky Rick and Tresor with many more committed artists who joined in solidarity to unify and contribute to the upliftment of the continent. The STOP THE VIOLENCE movement content went live across numerous media platforms on Sunday, 8th September.

Sipho Dlamini, Managing Director at Universal Music Group SA and Sub-Saharan Africa commented, "At times like this when it looks like there is no hope, then you see people stopping what they’re doing to come together as an industry and say something with one voice. Stop…Stop the violence…then there is a small glimmer of hope.”

Refiloe Ramogase, General Manager for Sony Music Entertainment Africa concluded, “We are living in a time where we need to lend our voices and platforms for good. Silence is not an option. Enough is enough.”
